As fires continue to threaten and devastate communities across south-eastern Australia, Sanitarium Health Food Company is responding by donating Weet-Bix, UP&GO and So Good to families in need and firefighters working in the front line of crisis.

Since mid-December, hundreds of pallets of Sanitarium products have been donated and distributed throughout New South Wales (NSW) and Victoria, with more than 40 pallets sent to firefighters volunteering for the NSW Rural Fire Service yesterday (January 6) alone.

In addition, 30 pallets of Weet-Bix, UP&GO and So Good have been delivered to Foodbank Australia to be distributed to relief agencies and evacuation centres. Sanitarium products are also being given directly to ADRA Australia who have people on the ground working to support victims in NSW, Victoria and South Australia.

In a Facebook press release, Sanitarium Health Food Company has stated:

“Australia is in the midst of crisis and recovery will take a very long time. The widespread destruction is bewildering . . . our primary focus is remaining responsive to the immediate needs of fire services and our relief agency partners.”

If you would like to help, ADRA Australia, the Australian Red Cross and Foodbank Australia have called for financial donations. You can also check with Foodbank NSW & ACT or Foodbank Victoria on their specific grocery item needs.
