Young people from across Greater Sydney gathered at Blacktown Seventh-day Adventist Church on May 9 for a Uni and Youth Worship Night organised by the Western Youth Region.

The event brought together almost 200 youth and young adults for an evening of worship, music and fellowship. Worship was led by young people from Bidwill Tongan Seventh-day Adventist Church and special musical items were presented by groups from Hoxton Park and Wetherill Park Seventh-day Adventist churches.

Guest speaker Sam Lett, principal of Macarthur Adventist College, shared a message based on the story of the Samaritan woman, encouraging attendees to reflect on the question, “Which cup are you drinking from?”

“He reminded everyone that the world offers many cups that promise satisfaction, but only Jesus offers living water that truly satisfies the soul,” said Greater Sydney Conference (GSC) youth director Pastor Dejan Stojkovic.

According to Pastor Stojkovic, the message aligned with the GSC youth theme “All In”. “It called young people to a deeper level of commitment and surrender,” he added.

Following the program, attendees gathered on the church lawn for a social evening. “Fire pits, food and conversation brought everyone together. In the cool Sydney autumn air, friendships deepened and new connections were formed,” said Pastor Stojkovic.

The next Western Youth Region gathering is scheduled for June 13 and will include a youth rally and sports competition.

“May we continue to make space for faith, community and encounters with God,” said Pastor Stojkovic.
