From the heart of Malaita Province in the Solomon Islands, a powerful wave of revival swept across Namorako Village during a recent evangelistic campaign.
Under the theme “Sharing Hope in This Hopeless World”, the Namorako Seventh-day Adventist Church—together with the Redeemed Praise Ministry from Honiara—united to bring a message of hope, love and end-time truth to their people and neighbouring communities.
Held from June 22 to July 5, the campaign was conducted by retired evangelist Pastor Kemuel Mauta, whose messages touched hearts not only in Namorako but also in Stoney Ridge Village, California Village and several other communities across the river.
By the close of the campaign on Sabbath, July 5, 25 people publicly surrendered their lives to Jesus through baptism. Among them were two individuals from the South Sea Evangelical Church, who have now embraced the Seventh-day Adventist message.
Redeemed Praise Ministry, along with faithful supporters from Eastern Heralds Ministry and As One Ministry, were involved not just in praise and worship, but also in supporting Bible studies and prayer for baptismal candidates. Dedicated Bible instructors and lay members also worked quietly and faithfully behind the scenes to nurture these individuals through ongoing Bible studies.
Pastor Mauta further equipped the church by conducting leadership and discipleship training for church officers and youth leaders, laying the foundation for sustainable growth and stronger spiritual leadership in the village church.
On Sunday, July 6, the mission continued with a wide-reaching inreach and outreach visitation program. Families in Namorako, Stoney Ridge, California Village, across the river and as far as the outskirts of Arabala Village, were visited and ministered to—many hearing the hope-filled message of Christ for the first time.
Despite challenging weather conditions over the two weeks, the campaign became a faith-building experience that ignited the hearts of many—especially youth—and strengthened the entire community’s trust in Jesus.
