For the fifth consecutive year, Sanitarium Weet-Bix has been voted Australia’s most trusted breakfast food.

Weet-Bix ranked number one ahead of six other leading products in the 2017 Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Brands survey, which involved more than 2400 participants and was conducted by Roy Morgan Research.

Sanitarium executive general manager Todd Saunders said the award recognises that the distinctive “blue box” is one of the most identifiable and trusted products on supermarket shelves, found in almost half of Australian homes at any given time.

“For nearly 90 years generations of Aussies have been raised on Sanitarium Weet-Bix, a firm favourite amongst Australian families,” he said.

In New Zealand, Weet-Bix was declared the most trusted breakfast brand for the seventh consecutive year.

Sanitarium NZ general manager Rob Scoines said the award recognises the care and passion that goes into making the cereals Kiwis know and love.

“Knowing that three out of four households in New Zealand have Sanitarium products confirms that we offer great choices for millions of health-conscious consumers wanting a healthy start to the day,” he said.
