As the “For Christ” events take place around the Pacific, here are 10 verses to keep in mind while taking part in this mission movement.

1. 1 Corinthians 9:22,23

To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

2. Colossians 4:5,6

Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

3. Mark 2:22

And no-one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.

4. Colossians 3:23,24

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

5. Galatians 6:9

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

6. 1 Peter 4:10

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

7. Matthew 25:40

The King will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

8. 1 Corinthians 9:16

For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

9. Proverbs 19:21

Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.

10. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no-one may boast before him.
