Wind Valley Seventh-day Adventist hand church, under White River Seventh-day Adventist Church in the West Honiara District, Solomon Islands, has appealed for support to help complete its permanent church building.
The Wind Valley church began in late 2008. What started with faith and prayer has grown into a close-knit church family of more than 30 members—mostly young people—who continue to worship faithfully in a semi-permanent building located on a private property.
Today, a new chapter has opened for the Wind Valley church family. Construction is underway on a permanent church building that will serve as a place of worship, fellowship and hope for the surrounding community. However, the congregation is currently facing financial challenges in bringing the project to completion.
In a statement, the church appealed to the Adventist community both locally and abroad for support.
“This project depends entirely on freewill offerings from church members and kind supporters,” the statement said. “Every contribution, big or small, helps lay another brick, raise another post and bring us closer to completing God’s house.”
