Members of Morata Seventh-day Adventist Church, Papua New Guinea, are appealing for prayers after several Adventist Senior Citizens (ASC) mothers sustained serious injuries in a road accident along the Brown River section of the Hiri Tano Highway yesterday afternoon (April 29).
The mothers were returning from Vanapa after visiting their branch church pastor during a ministry fellowship trip when the accident occurred.
According to information gathered from church members and videos shared from the scene, several individuals suffered serious injuries, mainly to their heads and arms. Three St John Ambulance units responded to the scene and assisted the injured.
At the time of reporting, the number of injuries and the full circumstances surrounding the accident have not yet been officially confirmed.
The incident has deeply saddened church members and families, prompting many to call on fellow believers to continue praying for God’s healing, protection, and comfort upon those affected.
Church members described the ASC mothers as faithful women who continue to actively support ministry and fellowship activities within the church community.
Leaders and members of Morata church continue to monitor the situation closely while offering support to the injured and their families during this difficult time.
