The United States edition of Following Jesus, published last year by NavPress (see “Signs books reaches larger Christian world,”) has been included on the Top 10 list of books on discipleship of 2022, as selected by a peak organisation for fostering disciple making in churches. Discipleship.org is “a collaborative community of men and women committed to the discipleship lifestyle—being disciples of Jesus and making disciples of Jesus.” The organisation hosts the National Disciple Making Forum in the United States and their annual Top 10 list identifies “noteworthy books from last year that will help you to be more effective in making disciples.”

Describing Following Jesus by Dr Peter Roennfeldt, Bobby Harrington—Executive Director of Discipleship.org—commented, “This book invites participation through journaling, commitment to share what you are learning, reading through the gospels and coming up with a plan. This would be a great bible study for a small group/discipleship group.”

NavPress publisher David Zimmerman said he was grateful to see books resonate with groups such as Discipleship.org. “The Great Commission call to make disciples is the privilege of every follower of Jesus, and a transformed world is its great promise,” he commented. “We’re proud to work with authors like Peter . . . who help people find their way into this participation in God’s mission for us.”

Originally published by Signs Publishing in 2017, Following Jesus continues to be available from Adventist bookshops across the South Pacific (https://adventistbookcentre.com.au/following-jesus.html), with the NavPress edition also available in other Christian bookshops.
