Concord Seventh-day Adventist Church (Sydney, NSW) ran an intensive Bible boot camp and evangelism training program for lay church members from July 14-20.

Members from Concord, Wahroonga, Northern Beaches, Guildford, Wantok and Toongabbie churches learned about salvation, Adventist Church history and the prophetic ministry of Ellen White during the week-long program. Pastors Geoff Youlden and Daniel Przybylko, Dr Allan Lindsay and Sam Braga were the main speakers.

“It was an opportunity for me to share on the doctrines we have that are distinctive to Adventism,” said Pastor Przybylko. “I believe it’s important for us to remember that Adventists are unique and have a special message to share.”

“It was an intense week of learning from 7:45am to 6pm, Monday to Friday,” said Danielle Piot, one of the boot camp attendees. “The Holy Spirit put such a burning fire in our hearts. We have this new knowledge and passion to take back to our churches and I think Greater Sydney will reap the rewards.”

Attendees were so blessed by the program that they have committed to continue meeting on Tuesday evenings to study more.

“We praise God for such a Spirit-filled week and we plan on running more of these programs in the near future,” added Ms Piot.
