A new Pathfinder honour has been developed to coincide with the release of The Hopeful in cinemas across the South Pacific Division.

Created by the Adventist Heritage Centre in Cooranbong (New South Wales), the honour includes a workbook which allows Pathfinders not only to gain knowledge but to reflect on the film’s core themes. It also features a booklet to test knowledge gained.

“We are excited to introduce to our Pathfinders The Hopeful honour, which complements the movie and shows our Pathfinders that our pioneers were people of adventure and risk who were passionate about sharing Jesus with the world,” said Australian Union Conference youth director Dr Jeff Parker.

“As our Pathfinders complete this honour they will be able to empathise with the hardship and loss, healing and hope that was experienced to form the Church we love.”

Pathfinder clubs are encouraged to organise a group outing and watch the film together.

The Hopeful is set to release in cinemas in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Vanuatu, Cook Islands and Papua New Guinea on October 17. Visit this site to find out how you can get involved.
