Papua New Guinea Union Mission (PNGUM) undersecretary Pastor Cameron Wari recently visited churches in the Alotau District to provide training and raise awareness of the Adventist Church Management System (ACMS).
Working alongside Northern Milne Bay Mission (NMBM) ACMS coordinator Raymond Aaron and the local team, Pastor Wari met with leaders and members at Alotau Town, Ahioma and Gopaia Seventh-day Adventist churches.
The visit focused on the role of ACMS in maintaining accurate, secure membership records and supporting church administration.
Pastor Wari explained how the system connects local church records with the PNGUM, the South Pacific Division and the General Conference, helping the Church manage membership information across its worldwide network.
The team also worked with local church clerks on practical data management, emphasising the importance of ensuring membership rolls accurately reflect baptised members.
Local leaders and members expressed appreciation for the training and encouragement, saying the visit had strengthened their understanding of ACMS and their readiness to use it.
