Adventurers, Pathfinders and Ambassadors from Kokopo, Papua New Guinea, were recognised for their efforts at an investiture and certificate presentation ceremony at Sonoma Adventist College from October 31 to November 1.

The two-day program, conducted under Adventist Youth Ministries, started with recognition of Ambassadors who successfully completed Module 7 and received Certificates of Completion for Module 3.

The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Donald Solomon, youth coordinator for the East New Britain Mission, who delivered an inspiring message based on the mission’s theme, “I Will Go and Refocus,” drawn from Jeremiah 33:3.

“All young Ambassadors and youth should spend more time in prayer and Bible study, as the mission’s theme calls us to go and refocus our lives in Christ,” encouraged Pastor Solomon.

The Ambassadors, led by Joe Benjamin and supported by Mary Tauroko and Oberty Reuben, were officially invested with new Ambassador uniforms and ties, and also received World Changers Bibles. Teachers were also acknowledged with Certificates of Leadership for their guidance.

The Sabbath evening program continued with the Adventurer and Pathfinder investiture ceremony, led by Lisha Gako, Pathfinder coordinator for Kokopo. She shared a message, making an analogy about hiking and the importance of perseverance and spiritual growth.

Ms Gako, along with five teachers, formally accepted 23 Adventurers and 21 Pathfinders for pinning and certification. Children from the Little Lamb to Helping Hand classes and Pathfinders from Friend through Voyager were recognised by Master Guides.

The weekend concluded with the casing of the club flags, led by the Ambassadors, symbolising the close of the 2025 club year.

Reflecting on the milestone, Mr Benjamin shared: “This is a testament of self-commitment, perseverance and discipline in completing the mission God has entrusted to us.”

The event aimed to inspire young people to continue to “go and refocus” for Christ in the year ahead.
