Three shipping containers carrying materials for the construction of the new Kerenda Seventh-day Adventist mega-church arrived in Imbongu District, Southern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea, on February 6. The project, initiated by the Olgei Welai and Wagomai tribes, is part of a larger effort to establish a new place of worship for the local church community.
Church members and community representatives gathered to welcome the containers with a procession. A few days later, on February 10, a site lifter arrived to place the containers at the construction site, with church members and youth assisting in the process.

Despite challenging weather conditions, local youth volunteers helped prepare the site, arrange logs and ensure the proper positioning of the containers.
The next phase of the project will involve construction efforts led by the local church and community.
