Adventurers clubs in the West Honiara District (WHD) of Solomon Islands enjoyed a weekend rally with a mix of spiritual and social activities.
Seven WHD churches participated in the rally, which was themed “Shine Out for Jesus”. The weekend aimed to equip Adventurers with the knowledge and tools to share Jesus with friends, communities and schools. Each Adventurer club also presented their annual reports, highlighting their activities, challenges and achievements throughout the year.
On Sabbath afternoon, the Adventurers visited various communities in White River, including Central White River, Namoruka, Independence Valley, Tikopia Settlement and Wind Valley. During these visits, the children presented gifts, sang songs and prayed with families.
Sunday morning’s activities involved fun team-building games where the Adventurers worked together to solve tasks. The rally ended with a closing program, where each Adventurer returned to their respective clubs for lunch.
“I would like to thank the churches in WHD for working together to ensure this weekend rally was a success,” said WHD Adventurers coordinator Gwen Tamaforau.
“All the Adventurers truly enjoyed the program. We look forward to another year of closely mentoring our Adventurers so they can continue growing in Christ and reflect the character God desires them to embody in the future.”
