Students from Kopiu Adventist Community School Church in Solomon Islands brought joy to Marauiapa Island residents during a recent mission trip.

The trip included a Bible program in which the school chaplain Jason Gulea shared studies from Revelation 4-6 based on the theme “Christ for Crisis”. The students helped with the program, including leading out in singing.

During the weekend the students were involved in home visitations—sharing encouragement from the Bible, singing songs, praying with the residents and sharing gifts with them. They also did some cleaning up around the local primary school compound.

Gifts were handed out to the island residents.

The activities were greatly appreciated by the residents. “This is history, I have never had such a visit my whole life,” said one of the residents. “Thank you for visiting me and for sharing words of encouragement from God’s Word with me and my mother in-law.”

The school is now working on follow-up plans. “I personally believe that God is surely with us in all this,” Mr Gulea said. “He will never fail us in ensuring the seeds planted will eventually bear fruit.”
