Christian education was the theme of a school holiday evangelism program for students of Magini Adventist Primary School in Bougainville Mission, Papua New Guinea.
Guest speaker Pastor Sovinta Tabua emphasised that the Church, teachers, students and community all need to work together to ensure a quality education. He encouraged parents to enrol their children in Adventist schools so that they can learn more about Jesus and develop a code of ethics based on biblical principles. He also offered a prayer for students for their upcoming exams.
At the end of the program three students were among four people baptised.
Papua New Guinea Union Mission president Pastor Kepsie Elodo said it was a great initiative and he was impressed by the baptism of the students.
“We should exhaust all our avenues in making disciples for Christ and our schools should be part of it too,” he said.
