Students from Wahroonga Adventist School put their green thumbs into action as part of Schools Tree Day late last month.
Eight houses and one block of land were auctioned on December 1 to raise funds for an affordable housing development for student nurses and doctors.
The first tree was planted this morning in a special ceremony attended by government, San hospital and church leaders, along with students from Wahroonga Adventist School.
