The death of the president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Papua New Guinea has sparked nationwide mourning, with Pastor Geoffrey Pomaleu’s body being flown around the country for seven separate funeral events over four days.
Pastor Geoffrey Pomaleu died at Angau Hospital in Lae, Papua New Guinea, at 11:45 last night. Originally from Manus Island, Pastor Pomaleu was president of the Papua New Guinea Union Mission. He was 54.
