Pathfinders and other young people marched through Alotau Town, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea, on September 19 as part of a street procession celebrating Pathfinder Day.
The Adventist Youth Ministry procession brought together Pathfinders, Adventurers, youth, instructors and leaders, along with representatives of Adventist Community Services. They sang and shared their faith with the community. A young member of the Guide Class spoke on the day’s theme, “Speak, Lord”, drawn from the story of Samuel in 1 Samuel 3.
Earlier, Pathfinder classes led the Sabbath school program at Alotau Town Seventh-day Adventist Church, sharing what they had learned through their class requirements. Their presentations covered topics including the Pathfinder emblem, health and fitness, creation, Bible stories and the sanctuary.
During the worship service, guest speaker elder Cameron Jack reflected on Samuel’s willingness to listen and respond when God called him. He encouraged the young people to follow Samuel’s example and serve God faithfully.
