Fulton Adventist University College graduates, in Fiji, were urged by Papua New Guinea’s minister of higher education to live lives of service and faith.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony on November 24, Kinoka Hotune Feo said, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

This year, 164 graduates marched under the theme “Enlightened to Serve”. During his speech, Mr Feo recounted his struggles as a young student and the critical moment when he was given a second chance at Pacific Adventist University. He encouraged graduates to let their actions reflect their faith, emphasising the importance of service in their communities.

As a gesture of gratitude for the opportunities he received, Mr Feo announced a donation of K1 million to fund the construction of a new church building on Fulton’s campus.

The event, held on the university’s main campus in Fiji, brought together key church leaders, including Trans Pacific Union Mission (TPUM) officers and administrators, who joined graduates and their families in celebrating the graduands.

In addition to the main ceremony, a second graduation was held on December 4 at the Maranatha Centre in Honiara, Solomon Islands. This event marked the completion of the Diploma in Primary Education, a program designed to provide experienced teachers with opportunities to further their qualifications. Graduates were encouraged to continue striving for excellence under the theme, “Go forward to reach our goal”.

The regional ceremony was attended by family members, local church leaders and education officials, including FAUC deputy principal Dr Tabua Tuima and TPUM education director Talonga Pita. The event was broadcast live by Reveal Pasifika, enabling the broader community to celebrate the graduands’ achievements.
