An online lifestyle medicine course has seen strong demand from 10,000 Toes ambassadors, with almost 100 signing up within four hours of registrations opening.
Interest in the Introduction to Lifestyle Medicine course, delivered through Avondale University, was so great that a waiting list of participants from across the Pacific region was quickly created.
The course aims to strengthen ambassadors’ understanding of the lifestyle factors that can help prevent and manage non-communicable diseases. It also provides practical knowledge to support their work with communities, churches, healthcare providers and government health authorities.
10,000 Toes Campaign coordinator Pamela Townend said the response reflected the commitment of the ambassadors.
“Their willingness to invest in their own learning reflects the growing momentum of the 10,000 Toes movement and the shared desire to build healthier Pacific communities,” she said.
