Forresters Beach Adventist Church (Central Coast, NSW) held a special high tea luncheon on Sabbath, September 20, celebrating the conclusion of the women’s ministry team’s “Secret Sister” initiative.

Throughout the year, participants had shared Bible texts, prayers and small gestures anonymously, encouraging each other in faith and friendship. The big reveal showed that no-one had correctly guessed their Secret Sister, making the moment a highlight of the afternoon.

The event included time for sharing experiences, laughter and reflection. Coordinator Tamara Spencer said, “It’s been a privilege to be part of something where God’s hand has been so clearly revealed. I witnessed many timely occurrences when specific gestures and Bible verses were shared, just when they were needed most.”

Jessica Corker, chaplain at Central Coast Adventist School, shared thoughts from the biblical story of Deborah, encouraging the ladies to remain faithful and prayerful.

One participant summed up the day simply: “I feel loved and lighter, wiser and happier. What a Sabbath!”
