Pacific Adventist University (PAU) recently celebrated Adventist Heritage Month with a 10-day program hosted at the library’s Archives and Heritage Centre. The event honoured early Adventist pioneers and commemorated October 22, 1844—known in Church history as the Great Disappointment.
It was required that Seventh-day Adventists “shall abolish their daily morning prayers, and they shall work on the Sabbath. Their tithe system for the support of the clergy shall be abolished”.
