ADRA Fiji has been recognised for its dedication to advancing gender equality and enhancing resilience in disaster risk reduction.

At the 2024 Sautu Women in Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Resilience Awards, ADRA won the category of Civil Society Organisations that Promote Gender Inclusivity Initiatives.

The event, hosted by the Fiji National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) and Fiji Council of Social Services (FCOSS), was held to commemorate World Humanitarian Day. It celebrated the vital contributions of women in disaster risk reduction and climate resilience, spotlighting their roles in volunteering, community care and humanitarian leadership during natural disasters and climate change events.

ADRA Fiji expressed their gratitude to the Fiji NDMO, FCOSS and United Nations Women Pacific for the recognition, stating that the award has further empowered them to continue their impactful work within their communities.
