Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape presented today’s (April 4) morning worship for the team at the South Pacific Division (SPD) office.

Speaking via Zoom from Port Moresby, Mr Marape, a Seventh-day Adventist, gave thanks for the opportunity to join the worship session. His message, based on Romans 12:3-5, drew attention to the diversity of the people and talents within the Adventist Church.

“We all have different functions to play in as far as the great gospel commission is concerned, but we are one body of Christ,” Mr Marape said.

“We have the diversity in our Church, the talents are there to be used, and I just pray for God’s wisdom that the church leadership both at the Division, at the Union, at the local mission and all our churches right throughout the country, that we are able to have the discernment to identify the right talents the Church has for the furtherance of the gospel.”

SPD president Pastor Glenn Townend said it was a privilege to have the Prime Minister present worship to the team.

“It was an excellent message,” he said.
