1. She should value God’s opinion above all others
“Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.” (Proverbs 31:30)
2. She should be gentle and wise
“A foolish woman is clamorous, she is simple, and knows nothing.” (Proverbs 9:13)
3. She should be generous
“But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” (Hebrews 13:16)
4. She should be confident in her own abilities
“She girds herself with strength, and strengthens her arms.” (Proverbs 31:17)
5. She should be loyal
“But Ruth said: ‘Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.’” (Ruth 1:16)
6. She should be supportive
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
7. She should care more about her heart than her outward appearance
“Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.” (1 Peter 3:3,4)
8. She should be proactive and not lazy
“She watches over the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.” (Proverbs 31:27)
9. She should not provoke unnecessary arguments
“Better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and angry woman.” (Proverbs 21:19)
10. She should keep company with other godly women
“The older women likewise, that they be reverent in behaviour, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things, that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children.” (Titus 2:3,4)
