ADRA Australia has launched an appeal in support of farmers and their families who are struggling in the worst drought that has hit the nation in decades.

“We will be working with the Church network and through ADRA Op Shops and Food Pantry initiatives to assist in drought-affected areas,” marketing director Bruna Tawake said.

“ADRA representatives in conferences and churches affected by the drought are assessing local needs, so we should know more early next week what the response might look like.”

Severe drought is affecting a number of parts of Australia, causing extreme stress for farming families. In NSW, for example, 99 per cent of the state is in drought.
