The church plant is a direct result of of outreach by local churches on the west coast of New Ireland Province.
It was a joyous occasion for church members on Yanuca Island in Fiji, during the official opening of their new church building on Thursday, March 31.
"Franklyn and Rose are passionate about the gospel message. They decided to spend their own money to build the first new Adventist permanent church building on Araki island," said first year minister Lui Yarakei.
The church was named Sasa Rore Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church as a tribute to the late Pastor Sasa Rore, a pioneer missionary of Solomon Islands.
