Aiming to share the three angels’ messages of Revelation 14 with the church and the broader community, Hillview Adventist Church in Morisset (NSW) ran an outreach program for four-consecutive Sabbaths themed “Prophecies of Hope for a Troubled World” from October 15 to November 5.
The program featured music, personal testimonies, an interactive and engaging children’s story and a children’s activity in line with the sermon.
Hillview church pastor Danny Milenkov presented the main message, always providing an opportunity for decisions to be made along with personal prayer and commitment at the end of each service.
“It was a real blessing to hear testimonies from church members and non-members that the everlasting gospel was made so simple and clear,” said Pastor Milenkov. “This is the second time Hillview has conducted such a series and the Lord blessed immensely. We give all the honour and glory to Him.”
In total, seven community members and seven former Adventists attended. Several adults and children requested further personal Bible studies and have decided to prepare for baptism.
As a follow-up, Pastor Milenkov is conducting a small group Bible study each Sabbath morning during Sabbath School time. “The aim is to further incorporate the new seekers into the church through the all-important study hour,” he said.
According to him, visitation and prayer are also essential to encourage those who are in the journey of knowing Jesus. “Although letterboxing and social media advertising were utilised, most visitors who came were invited by church members. Personal invitations and much prayer are key today,” Pastor Milenkov said.
