More than 2000 people attended the worship service where Prime Minister James Marape took the sermon entitled “Eternity is Worth Fighting For”.
Mr Marape, the son of a retired pastor and pioneer missionary to Jiwaka Province, thanked the church family for the privilege of sharing God’s Word. Among those who attended the service was the Governor of the Province, Dr William Tongamp, Finance Minister John Pundari, Lands Minister John Rosso, town mayor Simon Hans and local MP Joe Kuli. As part of the special day, the church arranged for a large number of people living with disabilities to attend the program and to meet the Prime Minister.
