A new early learning centre in a remote area of Papua New Guinea is all set to begin the school year following a delivery of books and other educational resources by Operation Food For Life (OFFL) volunteers.

The resources, delivered yesterday, will cater for the up to 200 children expected to attend the school this year. The school is located at Kivori-Poi, more than four hours’ drive by 4WD from Port Moresby. It is one of many villages along the coastline with no direct access to education.

OFFL founder Dennis Perry thanked the local villagers who helped to unload the many boxes of resources from the vehicles.

“With the best possible teachers and best possible resources what a brilliant year God has planned for the school,” he said.
