The Greater Sydney Conference (GSC) has expanded its Faith FM radio footprint into Northern Sydney and the Northern Beaches following the purchase of a network of radio licences.
Three broadcast sites at Mosman, Collaroy Plateau and St Ives are now operational, extending coverage from the Harbour Bridge to Mona Vale and Newport, and into eastern parts of Wahroonga. A fourth site is planned at either Ingleside or Bilgola Plateau to extend the network further.
GSC invested approximately $A250,000 in the acquisition, which was officially launched with a prayer of dedication on August 27.

“This significant investment strengthens our ability to reach people where they live, work and connect, bringing the Three Angels’ Messages into homes across this important part of Sydney,” said GSC president Pastor Alban Matohiti.
Faith FM radio manager Michael Engelbrecht said the Northern Beaches has a relatively small Adventist presence and GSC officers viewed the expansion as “a strategic investment in preparing the soil in this area”.
The acquisition follows GSC’s $A300,000 purchase of a Western Sydney Faith FM network in 2022, funded through the sale of the former Conference office in Epping. That network covers Penrith and Campbelltown, connects with existing Faith FM coverage in the Southern Highlands and has the potential to reach more than 1.2 million people.

GSC chief financial officer Nadelle Manners said the Conference hopes the latest expansion will provide another avenue for connecting with local communities.
“It is our prayer that, through the Faith FM radio ministry programs broadcast across Northern Sydney and the Northern Beaches, lives will continue to be positively impacted as we share Jesus with these communities,” she said.
The expansion is also part of GSC’s preparation for Sydney for Christ 2028.
“Radio provides us with another avenue to [share the gospel]”, Pastor Matohiti said. “It allows pastors, members and leaders to use their gifts to create meaningful, relevant content that engages people with faith and points them to Jesus.”
