More than 15,000 Seventh-day Adventists from across Fiji gathered at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on October 5 for a Fiji-wide Sabbath program.

The event followed the business meetings of the Fiji Mission session and provided an opportunity for collective thanksgiving and rededication to the Church’s mission.

The service brought together members from every region of the country, reflecting the cultural diversity of the Adventist Church in Fiji, including iTaukei, Indo-Fijians, Rotumans and Rabians.

Trans Pacific Union Mission president Pastor Charlie Jimmy delivered the main message, reminding members of their calling and purpose as Seventh-day Adventists. “We are a people of prophetic destiny,” he said.

He challenged the congregation to reflect personally on their mission: “Pray that God will kick me out of my comfort zone and lead me to bring one soul to Jesus.”

Encouraging renewed commitment to outreach, Pastor Jimmy appealed for members to take part in mission and service across Fiji. “God is counting us one by one to go out into the harvest field. Let’s make a transformation and a change to be more deeply involved in the work for Jesus,” he concluded.
