University students and young people from across Greater Sydney came together for a night of worship at Mt Druitt Samoan Seventh-day Adventist Church on May 9—and the spirit of unity was deeply felt according to organisers.

The Mount Druitt Conquerors Pathfinder Club led worship for the program.

“[Their] heartfelt music lifted our eyes to heaven and set a meaningful tone for the night,” said Pastor Dejan Stojkovic, Greater Sydney Conference Youth director. “It was a reminder of the power of youth coming together to praise God.”

Pastor Chris Campos and Pastor Raul Moran shared messages of encouragement and “spoke with passion and purpose”.

The church was packed with young people.

“Their words touched hearts and called us to draw closer to God, trust His leading, and live with courage and conviction,” said Pastor Stojkovic.

“What made this gathering so special was the sense of togetherness. Youth leaders and area leadership teams brought their groups from near and far, and Mt Druitt Samoan Church welcomed us with warmth and joy. Their hospitality made everyone feel at home—they were truly happy to have us,” said Pastor Stojkovic.

Another highlight of the evening was pizza, provided by Domino’s Pizza Plumpton. Pastor Stojkovic ordered 90 pizzas from the establishment and when the owner heard about the event and the work being doing with young people, he offered a generous discount. Pastor Stojkovic shared a short TikTok video on his page that shared the story, and the video received more than 12K views in just a few hours.

“This night was more than a program,” said Pastor Stojkovic. “It was a testimony of what happens when hearts unite in worship, when churches open their doors, and when communities step in to help. May this be the first of many such nights.”
