The 10,000 Toes Campaign will be celebrating its seventh birthday next month.

To mark this special occasion, a fundraising event will be held at Sydney Adventist Hospital on October 9 from 11am-2pm. In partnership with the San, Sanitarium and Avondale University, the event will feature a vegetarian barbecue along with other food options, drinks, gift stalls and giveaways.

Funds raised will help 10,000 Toes in its mission to save the lives and limbs of people living with diabetes in the South Pacific.

Apart from the barbecue, another way to get involved is by adopting a wellness clinic. These clinics offer health screenings and lifestyle intervention programs led by a dedicated volunteer team. They also deliver lifestyle medicine care from trained medical professionals, supporting high-risk patients who are referred after health screenings. Funds are urgently needed for new equipment, upgrading existing clinics and providing staff training in lifestyle medicine.

The 10,000 Toes Campaign is an initiative of health ministries at the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and seeks to tackle the widespread challenge of non-communicable diseases in the region.
