New church roll books distributed to local pastors in the New Britain New Ireland Mission (NBNIM) in Papua New Guinea are aimed at improving the reporting of membership data.
The new books were handed out by NBNIM secretary Pastor Richard Koroi during cluster report training at Butuwin Adventist Church on August 22.
Pastor Koroi explained to the pastors that the Mission administration developed the new book to help churches keep accurate records of all church membership so that they can provide the Mission with up-to-date statistical reports every quarter. He encouraged the pastors to work closely with their churches to ensure the records are precise.
Pastor Gibson Yambi, provincial area supervisor for East New Britain Province, thanked the secretary and his team for the great initiative. He said the updated roll books will help to eliminate hiccups in membership recording.
All pastors are now ready to work with their local church clerks to update the rolls.
