Bidwill Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sydney (NSW), recently celebrated the baptism of 25 individuals, following a four-week evangelistic program.

The church, led by Pastor Mele Tangikina Lolohea, hosted the evangelistic series from July 28 to August 19. Guest speaker Pastor Pelikani ‘Esau directed the program, focusing on the Ten Commandments under the theme “The Church, Jesus Christ and the Ten Commandments.”

Attracting attendees from across Sydney, the series was also live-streamed online. Each session concluded with a time for fellowship and refreshments.

On the final day, the program welcomed Greater Sydney Conference president Pastor Alban Matohiti as a guest speaker. He urged the baptismal candidates to maintain their spiritual commitment. Following Pastor Matohiti’s appeal, the 25 candidates were baptised by Pastors ‘Esau and Lolohea, witnessed by families, friends and church members.

Talaivosa Hafoka, who was baptised along with her husband Mateo Hafoka, shared her experience: “I faced challenges, but leaning on God and His word helped me take this significant step.”

A representative from the Bidwill Church attributed the program’s success and the 25 baptisms to God, stating, “It is through grace alone that these individuals have come to know and accept Him as their Lord and Saviour.”
