Hope Channel South Pacific director Pastor Wayne Boehm encouraged Hope FM and Hope Channel Fiji staff to keep up with their good work in media ministries. He visited the TV and radio studios based at the Fiji Mission (FM) headquarters in Suva on November 17.
“Pastor Boehm was instrumental in the setting up of Hope Channel television projects in Fiji and around the Pacific when he was Trans-Pacific Union Mission’s secretary before he moved to the SPD office,” said FM media and communications director Joni Vatuvatu.
His last visit to Fiji was in 2020, before COVID-19 hit the South Pacific, and he was delighted to visit the studios and witness the progress of media ministry in Fiji.
While visiting Hope FM, Pastor Boehm was able to check the progress of their second radio station—for Hindi-speaking communities.
“It is a blessing to be back and witness the progress of media ministry in Fiji,” Pastor Boehm said. “Fiji is setting the bar for all missions in the Union.”
“Media ministry is impacting the way our churches do ministry and it is important we are kept abreast with the needs of our viewers and meet their needs in their homes,” said Pastor Boehm.
“The Fiji Mission media team was blessed to have Pastor Wayne visit,” said Mr Vatuvatu.
