Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) International president Michael Kruger has released a statement on ADRA’s humanitarian response in Ukraine.
Recognising the Russia-Ukraine war as a massive and long-term humanitarian crisis affecting Europe, Mr Kruger said that ADRA has been on the ground since the beginning of the conflict, on February 24, providing relief not only in Ukraine but also in surrounding areas.
“We have escalated resources to assist refugees who have crossed into neighbouring regions and are developing long-term programs for families and children to thrive. We want everyone to have access to education, children’s services, job placement, health care, and other essential services to help them succeed in their communities,” Mr Kruger said in the statement.
He goes on to thank the Adventist Church family, trusted partners, supporters, and thousands of volunteers for their contribution to the response efforts.
