Officers from the Australian Defence Force have rallied to support Operation Food For Life (OFFL), an independent ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

ADF personnel visited the OFFL Born Free Sanctuary in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, last month. Among the group were ADF officer Steve Talbrok, his wife Jane, and their children Thomas and Laila.

The military family were so moved by the care and compassion shown at the sanctuary, they contacted their friends in the Australian Defence community in Queensland to see what help they could muster. They received donations of towels, bed sheets, tea towels, stationery and toys, which they delivered to the sanctuary, bringing joy to the children and their carers.

The Born Free Sanctuary provides full-time care and education for up to 30 children, teens and youth who have had to leave their homes due to neglect and abuse. For more information on Operation Food For Life go to https://www.offl.org.au
