Senior students from Suva Adventist College (SAC) were blessed by a spiritual retreat at Fulton Adventist University College from October 30 to November 1.
The initiative, the first of its kind for SAC, was aimed at creating awareness for the Years 12 and 13 students that Adventist education does not need to end when they finish high school—it can continue on at Fulton College. The students were accompanied by 16 teaching staff and their families.
During the retreat a dedication was held for the 40 students and their teachers as they prepare for the national examination in the coming weeks. They expressed their sincere appreciation to Fulton principal, Dr Malcolm Coulson, and his team for their kindness and generosity in not only providing accommodation but also in facilitating their retreat objectives.
Since the beginning of Term 3 the students have been involved in part-time work and activities within their communities to earn money to give tithes and offerings to the local mission to assist in the work of sharing the gospel. In doing so they have experienced the joy of being an active participant in God’s work in Fiji. From their earnings the students were also able to finance their transportation to Fulton College and cover other expenses for the retreat.
