Since the introduction of small groups in Madang Manus Mission (MMM) in Papua New Guinea, many people have become excited to go out and do Discovery Bible Reading (DBR).

Steven Masu a teacher at Bangapala Seventh-day Adventist Primary School, decided to use his free time to reach out to the families in the community along the Ramu River. He felt a responsibility to share the good news of Jesus Christ to Wakam community.

Mr Masu said he found the 30 minute walk to Wakam refreshing and rewarding as he got to meet with families who are interested to learn the love of Jesus. Every Sabbath morning he visited and preached to them using a picture roll to capture their interest. Thanks to his efforts, a branch Sabbath school has been formed, with approximately 30 members from the village coming each Sabbath morning to listen to the Word of God.

Mr Masu has been given a Discover Jesus Bible to continue with his DBR as well as 30 World Changers Bibles to be given to his new interests. When interviewed, Mr Masu said, “I love my Jesus and I can’t stop reaching people [in my free time]. I will tell them about my Jesus and will appeal to them to accept Him.”
