Pastor Wayne Boehm recently became the first Adventist minister to preach in Nanukuloa, Fiji, for 115 years.

“Our church there is outside the village,” explained Pastor Boehm, who is the Hope Channel director for the South Pacific.

“The chiefs of this village gave a group of young people special permission to run an evangelistic campaign inside the village for three weeks.”

Sixteen people were baptised by local pastors as a result of this three-week campaign. A further 14 from surrounding villages were also baptised.

“God continues to open doors and opportunities for the gospel message to be fulfilled,” Pastor Boehm said. “This baptism was one of many conducted across the Trans Pacific Union Mission this weekend. Our young people are playing a crucial role in God’s work going forward.”
