A new monthly service to be held in the Sydney Adventist Hospital chapel will share and celebrate inspiring personal and biblical stories of rejuvenation and restoration to health.

“First Friday at the Chapel” is an initiative encouraged by Adventist HealthCare’s director of Mission and Culture Dr Branimir Schubert, and is all about reaffirming Christ’s message of health and healing, according to hospital spokeswoman Leisa O’Connor.

“The event aims to reaffirm the hospital’s mission of Christianity in Action, showcase examples of Christ’s example of health and healing, and be a reflective, restorative and appropriate start to Sabbath,” Ms O’Connor said.

The service is open to the general community, church members, patients and hospital staff. It launches on Friday, March 3, and will continue on the first Friday of the month thereafter. The start time is 6.45pm for 7pm at the San chapel, Level 4, Clifford Tower. Light refreshments will be available afterwards. Inquiries: comrel@sah.org.au.
