The lawbreaker

I have come to the realisation that I have been breaking the most important commandment in the Bible. Which commandment have I been breaking? This one—"A new commandment I give you: Love one another . . ."

Life lessons

Solomon said words can “pierce like swords”. He was right. Words can kill, and sometimes all it takes is a single thrust.

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” It has always been a nice concept, albeit an almost impossible one to live out.

Fiery words

Forest fires are serious. So is the apostle James right when he compares the tongue to a forest fire? Is he exaggerating?

Angry words

Jesus makes it quite clear that verbal abuse is not acceptable amongst His disciples. In the Sermon on the Mount He gives us precepts to follow, one of which is to speak with respect to one another.
