The journey took cyclists from Elmshaven, the last home of Adventist Church cofounder Ellen White, in St Helena, California, to San Francisco, and across the states of Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri.
Participants were encouraged to take what they had learned and apply it to their ministry.
A memorial service was held on the evening of July 2 in Tahiti, where family, friends and church members gathered to honour his life and ministry.
“Many full-time employees, including me, took time off work for a week so that we could be with our church members and support them in their training and learning experience,” said John Olo, a 47-year-old IT expert and senior elder from the 8 Mile Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Pastor Nasoni Lutunaliwa, in dedicating the church’s 64 members, declared: “This church on the hilltop must remain a lighthouse in Ra Province—lifting up Jesus so that all may be drawn to Him.”
More than 300 young people gathered for a night of praise, testimony and worship.
Recognised as one of the largest business gatherings within a Christian denomination, the event will bring together leaders, delegates and members from the Church’s 23-million-member global community.
Over 2000 volunteers and healthcare professionals were recently in downtown St Louis, Missouri, United States, offering free medical, dental and vision services to the public as part of the Pathway to Health mega clinic.
