Rain poured outside Wahroonga Seventh-day Adventist Church on November 22, but inside the atmosphere was electric. Hundreds of Pathfinders, leaders and families from around Greater Sydney Conference filled the sanctuary with celebration, faith and unbreakable community spirit.
The Greater Sydney Conference Drum Corps opened the event with a stirring indoor parade.
“The 2025 Greater Sydney Pathfinder Rally reminded us once again: when we invest in our young people with faith and dedication, God shows up and the future shines bright,” said Pastor Dejan Stojkovic, Greater Sydney Conference Youth director.
During the event, long-serving members were honoured and clubs were celebrated for earning the prestigious Club 200 Award. The first teams to complete the 2024-2025 Pathfinder Bible Experience were also acknowledged as being young people deeply rooted in God’s Word.
Pastor Richard Reid delivered the sermon of the day, reflecting on the impact of a generation of young people “rightly trained” that Ellen White talks about.
New Master Guides were dedicated and leadership awards were also presented.
“This rally was Pastor Moses Depaz’s final large event as Greater Sydney Conference Pathfinder Director before he answers a new call to serve in Victoria,” said Pastor Dejan Stojkovic, Greater Sydney Conference Youth director. “Though we will miss him dearly, he remains forever part of the global Pathfinder family.”
“Heartfelt thanks to our club leaders, district directors, pastors, parents, volunteers and every person behind the scenes,” said Pastor Stojkovic. “Your love and hard work made this day unforgettable——despite the wet weather, joy overflowed. We worshipped together, celebrated every achievement and felt God’s presence in every salute, smile and hug.
“Thank you to everyone who marched, served and believed. The adventure continues!”
