There was joy and inspiration at Sonoma Adventist College English Church, Papua New Guinea, as 23 young Adventurers and their leaders led a World Adventurer Day program, sharing their talents and faith with the wider church family.

The program, themed “Travel with Faith”, showcased harmonious singing and a shared sermon that brought the Bible to life.

Four Adventurer leaders delivered segments of the message, retelling the story of Naaman and the faith of the travelling maid who urged him to wash in the Jordan River.

“The sermon was well presented, as each preacher shared different parts of the story, capturing the congregation’s attention by linking the narrative perfectly to the end,” said Pastor Julius Divu, acting principal and head of theology at Sonoma.

“One day, we will travel with faith to heaven with other faith travellers,” shared Joanne Benjamin.

The program was organised by the Adventurer leaders of Sonoma English Church, with support from their instructors. “The children sang in harmony, reminding us that our lives must be in harmony with Jesus as we travel in faith,” said Joros Sawi, the church’s youth leader.
