After being postponed for two years due to the pandemic, the Newcastle Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church (NSW) recently hosted its traditional fundraising Hispanic Day.

The celebration is run every year aiming to unite the Hispanic community in Newcastle and raise funds for ADRA through the sale of international food.

Around 200 people attended the event, of which 150 were from the Hispanic community.

Additional to the food, the celebration also featured a parade showcasing cultural attire and singing from 19 countries.

More than $A3200 was raised through the food sale and, combined with donations from local church members, a total of $A4021.80 will be directed to ADRA.
