The Seventh-day Adventist Church in New Zealand has released a statement following a fatal shooting outside Papatoetoe Adventist Church, in Auckland, this morning.
Pastor Eddie Tupa’i, president of the New Zealand Pacific Union Conference, said: “The Papatoetoe Seventh-day Adventist Church is deeply saddened to have a person pass away in tragic circumstances on the church property today. Our hearts go out to the families and friends of the deceased in this most difficult time. We will be praying for God’s grace to be over everyone impacted by this incident.
“We appreciate the support and guidance provided by the New Zealand Police, and we will continue to cooperate with their requests.”
A police investigation is underway.
